Painting or renewal of metallic elements and machinery with certified foodgrade paint suitable for direct and indirect contact with food and drinks, as an alternative to stainless steel

Description of the problem

There are many painted and unpainted metal and galvanized surfaces in the food industry. Although adequate stainless steel is suitable for being in contact with food and beverages, its price can be excessively expensive. Until now doesn’t exist any foodgrade paint suitable for painting metals with a guarantee and food safety. Fakolith FoodGrade paint range provides solutions for both OEM painted parts of new equipment and renewal, maintenance or useful life extension in agitators, motors, frameworks, valves, pumps, reducers, supports, hangers, cages for meat products machinery... Not only Inox is the solution for food contact, in many cases equipment and metals can be partially or fully reconditioned with foodgrade paints, minimizing investment against Inox which can also be painted with foodgrade paint when there is corrosion.


Our foodgrade paints are available in the most common industrial colors, including metallic gray (Consult FoodGrade color chart).


The painting of metal surfaces with certified paints for direct, indirect or occasional contact with food is a serious issue that requires tested products by accredited centers. Paints must have the mandatory food grade contact declaration of compliance, performance and CE marking. Only Fakolith has all the necessary documentation for all food groups, and is inspected regularly by the sanitary authority. All our paintings incorporate BioFilmStop antibacterial action for a greater hygiene and safety. Consult the application guide “high solid epoxies” before starting a job with these paints. Without considering major repairs, painting or repainting would have the following basic options.

Summary of the most common basic solution and procedure

The ideal pre-treatment to ensure maximum adherence to the iron-steel base consists in the complete elimination of existing paint layers by sandblasting, until reach the metal base free of oxide and getting the appropriate roughness to ensure the best possible adhesion of the primer and /or paint. Complementarily can be used stripping agents (for example, macs Asur or macs Oxystrip). If this base preparation is not feasible, alternatively and without considering major repairs like cleaning with FK-111 and elimination of corrosion points of oxide with FK-9 Gel, at least we recommend sanding the existing paint and checking its good adhesion by cut cross Test Class 0. The following process will go through proper cleaning and drying of the base whenever the metallic surface is in good conditions and the previous paint has a good adherence. Finally, paint with one of the FoodGrade paints.


1. ANTICORROSIVE PRIMER:   


According to the technical data sheet, it is always necessary for non-sand blasted metals, galvanized or aluminum.   


· FK-44 POXApplication of 1-2 coats of epoxy water based anticorrosive primer which acts preventing the metal corrosion and as a connection bridge with Fakolith foodgThis foodgrade epoxy paint is also recommended in some cases, when a higher performance physicochemical resistance is required.    


2. SURFACE PAINTING:   


· Option A - FAKOLITH FK-45 FOODGRADE: the use of this high solid epoxy foodgrade paint is usually the most common option when we talk about high performance.  


· Option B - FAKOLITH FK-45 FOODGRADE HYGIENIC: This foodgrade epoxy paint is recommended on those cases when a higher performance physicochemical resistance is required. 


· Option C - FAKOLITH FK-100 FOODGRADE: the use of this innovative 100% solid food epoxy paint is presented as the most avant-garde option which has a double certification EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300, and organoleptic test for drinking water.


 


· Option D - FAKOPUR FOODGRADE: 2-component polyurethane topcoat, recommended especially on metals placed outdoors or exposed to UV light. 

Application process

1.- FK-44 POX

DESCRIPTION: FAKOLITH FK-44 POX is a special, anti-corrosion, miscellaneous, acrylic, water-based, fast-drying, low odour, white epoxy primer. For use with metals in general, formulated with zinc phosphate, micaceous iron-oxide and organic anti-corrosion agents. This primer can be applied at temperatures as low as 2-3ºC, and up to a maximum relative humidity of 75-80%. Excellent anti-corrosion and metal adhesion properties. (Combined with FK-45) : Salt spray blistering classification (ISO 9227:2007) Class 0 (ISO 4628-2) - Corrosion classification (ISO 4628-3) estimated as Class 0, (ISO 4628-3) and anti-flash rust (L-AF30 method, French standard). Anti-corrosion priming systems ISO 12944-5. Ideal for priming metals before painting with Fakolith paints from the FK-45 and Disperlith ranges, among others.

RECOMMENDED USE: FK-44 POX is ideal for priming metals, iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, galvanised or aluminium surfaces. Compatible with lacquer-finish panels and surfaces that have been previously covered with compatible paints and/or primers, well adhered and resistant to cross-cut test Class 0-1 UNE-DIN EN ISO 2409:2007. In general recommended for use in the food industry, health sector, the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry in general, construction and civil engineering.

HOW TO APPLY: FK-44 POX can be applied by brush or roller, or for finishes and optimum applications using an Airless spray gun. Following the elimination of any rust, and an adequate preparation of the surface, slowly pour component B into component A, mix together gently using an electric mixer, for at least 2 minutes or until the components have blended completely together, and then leave to rest for 1 minute before starting to apply. When mixing always use complete batches of component A and component B, to avoid errors in the mixing ratio. Drying times and the length of time you will have to wait between coats will depend on the actual thickness of each coat, the temperature, level of relative humidity and ventilation, although generally speaking the second coat can be added within 1 hour. AVERAGE YIELD: According to recommended film thickness and depending on the texture and absorption of the surface it is applied to. It is recommended that the thickness of FK-44 POX be applied in two coats.

- For a dry thickness in microns 40 µm - consumption is 125 ml/m² - a yield of 8 m²/l.
- For a dry thickness in microns 80 µm - consumption is 250 ml/m² - a yield of 4 m²/l.
- For a dry thickness in microns 160 µm - consumption is 500 ml/m² - a yield of 2 m²/l.

2.- Option A - FK-45 FoodGrade

DESCRIPTION: FAKOLITH FK-45 FoodGrade is a high-performance, two-component, modified epoxy FoodGrade paint with a high solids content, low voc, low odour and EC marking. FK-45 FoodGrade is a FoodGrade epoxy paint that ensures limitation of migrations, generates a high-gloss impermeable film that is easy to clean and disinfect, with water at temperatures of up to 90ºC. The excellent covering and vapour barrier effect qualities of this paint ensure that it will function as an excellent waterproofing agent and long term anticorrosion treatment, when applied to metals in combination with a correct anticorrosion primer system. Compatible with most of primed surfaces, the duly primed metallic surfaces, lacquer-finish sandwich panels and compatible previous paints and/or primers with good adherence and resistant to cross-cut test Class 0-1 UNE-DIN EN ISO 2409:2007. FK-45 FoodGrade is highly resistant to abrasion UNE EN ISO 5470-1:1999 and highly resistant to aggressive chemical attacks UNE EN 1504-2:2005 (chemicals compatible for epoxy), with UNE Shore hardness of 80±5 units, Shore D EN ISO 868:2003 (23±2ºC; 50±5%Hr), covering Class 1 (300 µm dry film) and damp rubbing Class 1, DIN EN 13300. Paint resistant to the most disinfectant cleaners according to Tests DIN EN ISO 4628-2: 2004-01 by TÜV SÜD Germany and/or Fakolith R&D+i (For more security, before use, ask your case to our Tech. Department).

FOOD GRADE PAINT CERTIFIED AS APT FOR DIRECT CONTACT: FK-45 FoodGrade epoxy paint duly complies with all current European regulations regarding materials that come into contact with foods, (EC) Regulation 852/2004, (EC) Regulation 1935/2004, (EC) HACCP Regulation 1895/2005, and (EC) GMP Regulation 2023/2006, as well as Spanish RD 847/2011 and (EU) Commission Regulation No.10/2011, and lasts amendments EU 2018/213 (BPA Compliant), regarding plastic objects and materials designed to come into contact with foods. To this end FK-45 FoodGrade Hygienic has been tested with simulants A, B, C (OM2-40ºC) and D2 (OM2, 20ºC), as shown in the trials run by Fakolith, through independent certificating entities such as Tecnalia and the CNTA (Spanish National Food Technology Centre), among others, insofar as there is compliance in all of the tested cases with the overall and specific migration limits imposed by the Regulation for the above-mentioned simulants, which are equivalent to all of the simulants and, as a result are apt for direct contact with all foods and drinks (with the exception of vinegar, which damages epoxy resin. Not suitable for foods intended for infants or young children according definitions at regulation (EU) No. 609/2013.). FK-45 FoodGrade has Declaration of Compliance – Health Register FAKOLITH RGSEAA ES-39.005259/T. Available in transparent and the most standard industrial colours for the food industry and the health sector.

RECOMMENDED USE: FK-45 FoodGrade epoxy paint is specifically formulated for the protection and finishing of surfaces that come into direct contact with all manner of foods and drinks, in line with current European regulations, and is for application to the interiors of food tanks and silos, food transport elements, skirting boards, floors, walls, ceilings, objects, machinery, installations, structures, etc. located in interiors. Generally, for use in the food industry, the health sector, the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry, construction and civil engineering.

HOW TO APPLY: Following adequate preparation of the surface and having confirmed the suitability of the environment, FK-45 FoodGrade paint can be applied by brush or roller, or for finishes and optimum applications using AirMix or Airlles with heated hose type spraying equipment. Slowly pour component A into component B (never the other way round), mix together gently using an electric mixer, for at least 2 minutes or until the components have blended completely together, and then leave to rest for 1 minute before starting to apply. When mixing always use complete batches of component A and component B, to avoid errors in the mixing ratio. Plan carefully its application, bearing in mind its short pot-life of the mix. It can be applied over fibreglass netting systems, in tanks and on floors, mixed with non-slip quartz sand. Should it be necessary adjust the viscosity of the paint by thinning with 5-10% of special FoodGrade solvent, FK-45 Solvent OEM FG.

ATTENTION TO THE CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION AND CURING: Drying time and the waiting time for the second coat depend on layer thickness, temperature, relative humidity and ventilation. The environment and base temperature should never be lower than + 10ºC and higher than 35ºC, and the relative humidity should not be higher than 70-75%. The surface temperature of the base to be painted should always be at least 3 ° C above the dew point to avoid condensation. It is estimated that the ideal application temperature is around 20ºC and 60% relative humidity. In the event that environmental conditions are not appropriate for its application and curing, these should be adapted with extraction and ventilation of air, either at room temperature, with cold or heat, with dehumidifiers, etc., until the environmental conditions are adequate and stable during the application and curing, and always avoiding the generation of moisture condensation, since this would prevent the proper curing of the paint, especially made to monitor in tanks and confined spaces. Epoxy paint should not be in contact with water or surface condensation during the first 72 hours of curing, or the paint may not cure properly, appearing "Amine Blush" wash spots.

DEPOSITS OF FOOD LIQUIDS: In general, the film will present its complete curing, from 14 to 28 days for contact with food and drinks (cured at 23ºC, 50% relative humidity, layer> 300 microns dry). At a lower temperature and / or higher humidity and layer, the curing time can be significantly increased. On the other hand, if the temperature conditions are higher, the humidity is lower and / or there is less coating, the curing time can be significantly reduced. It is necessary to maintain suitable environmental conditions during application and curing, for which it is necessary to use ventilation systems with air extraction and forced hot air, preferably dehydrated, avoiding condensation, to maximize the curing conditions. Before filling a tank that has been coated with FK-45 FoodGrade paints range, the complete curing of the film should be checked, as well as at least an initial cleaning on the entire surface, with clear water, or preferably with neutral soap and later rinse.

FORCED DRYING: in general, applications with forced drying with hot air dehydrated can greatly reduce the drying, curing and commissioning time. An example of this can be the application in interior of pipes, where specialist companies after the application with systems and special equipment, artificially circulate a current of hot dehydrated air, and after checking the correct curing, make a later washing with water, before of the definitive commissioning. OTHER GENERAL APPLICATIONS: the painting offers good general resistance, at least after 72 hours of curing, although we recommend not exposing the paint film to severe chemical-physical aggressions until it has been cured for at least 1 week (walls, floors, ceilings, indirect contact).

2.- Option B - FK-45 FoodGrade Hygienic

DESCRIPTION: FAKOLITH FK-45 Foodgrade Hygienic is a heavy duty two-component modified epoxy FoodGrade paint with a high solids content, low voc, low odour and CE marking, with a higher level of physicochemical resistance and performance than FK-45 FoodGrade. FK-45 FoodGrade Hygienic is a FoodGrade epoxy paint that ensures limitation of toxic migrations, generates a high-gloss impermeable film that is easy to clean and disinfect, with water at temperatures of up to 90ºC. The excellent covering and vapour barrier effect qualities of this paint ensure that it will function as an excellent waterproofing agent and long term anticorrosion treatment, when applied to metals in combination with a correct anticorrosion primer system. Compatible with most duly primed mineral and metallic surfaces, lacquer-finish sandwich panels and previous, well adhered coats of compatible paints and/or primers, resistant to cross-cut test Class 0-1 UNE-DIN EN ISO 2409:2007. FK-45 FoodGrade Hygienic is highly resistant to abrasion UNE EN ISO 5470-1:1999 and extremely resistant to aggressive chemical attacks UNE EN 1504-2:2005 (chemicals compatible for epoxy), with a UNE Shore hardness of 80±5 units, Shore D EN ISO 868:2003 (23±2ºC; 50±5%Hr), covering Class 1 (300 µm dry film) and damp rubbing Class 1, DIN EN 13300. BPA-FREE TECHNOLOGY: As an added value, FK-45 Foodgrade Hygienic has been developed with BPA-free technology resins, and is also free of Bisphenol A.

BIOFILMSTOP SANITARY TECHNOLOGY (Treated Article BPR Art.3): FK-45 Foodgrade Hygienic is a FoodGrade paint that reconciles FoodGrade Technology and Sanitary BioFilmStop Inhibition Technology, highly resistant to biofilm bacteria and mould, ISO 22196:2011 (Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus subtillis, Pseudonomas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enteritidis, Legionella pneumophila...) and, moreover, notably improving HACCP, food safety and asepsis for the user company, while combining Fakolith’s innovative FOODTECH film protection technology, based on food preservatives.

2.- Option C - FK-100 FoodGrade EU and FDA compliant

DESCRIPTION: FAKOLITH FK-100 FoodGrade is a high-performance, two-component, modified BPA compliant epoxy FoodGrade paint with 100% solids content, low voc, low odour and CE marking, with improved drying and curing conditions. FK-100 FoodGrade is a food contact epoxy paint that ensures limitation of toxic migrations, generates a high-gloss impermeable film that is easy to clean and disinfect, with water at temperatures of up to 90ºC. The excellent covering and vapour barrier effect qualities of this paint ensure that it will function as an excellent waterproofing agent and long-term anticorrosion treatment, when applied to sand blasted SA 2.5 metal or in combination with a compatible anticorrosion primer. Compatible with most duly primed mineral and metallic surfaces, lacquer-finish sandwich panels and previous, well adhered coats of compatible paints and/or primers, resistant to cross-cut test Class 0-1 UNE-DIN EN ISO 2409:2007. FK-100 FoodGrade is highly resistant to abrasion UNE EN ISO 5470-1:1999 and to aggressive chemical attacks UNE EN 1504-2:2005 (chemicals compatible for epoxy), with a UNE Shore hardness of 80±5 units, Shore D EN ISO 868:2003 (23±2ºC; 50±5%Hr), covering Class 1 (300 µm dry film) and wet scrub resistance Class 1, DIN EN 13300. Paint resistant to the most used disinfectant and cleaners compatible with epoxy resins according to Tests DIN EN ISO 4628-2: 2004-01 by TÜV SÜD Germany and/or Fakolith R&D+i (For more security, before use, ask your case to our Tech. Department). Available in the most frequent industrial colours (Serial RAL white-cream 9010).

FOODGRADE FDA and EU TECHNOLOGY: FK-100 FoodGrade is certified as food contact epoxy paint suitable for direct, occasional and indirect contact for repetitive use with nearly all kind of foodstuffs and beverages, according the Official Research Project "FDA & EU FOODGRADE COATINGS RTC-2016-5067-2" that Fakolith has leaded together with the Technological Center AIMPLAS. As a novelty, complies with the 2 standards for food contact paints of international reference, both the American FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and the European Regulation EU 10/2011, in addition to complying with all the rest of the in force regulations for food contact materials, EC Regulation 852/2004, Regulation 1935/2004 / CE, Regulation EC 1895/2005, separate production under HACCP and Regulation EC 2023/2006 GMP, as well as RD 847/2011 and all their subsequent updates. FK-100 FoodGrade has the mandatory Compliance Declaration - with all the tests and rules for food contact, traceability and good praxis manufacturing that the product and the manufacturer comply. BIOFILMSTOP SANITARY TECHNOLOGY (treated article BPR Art.3 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300): FK-100 FoodGrade combines FoodGrade Technology with BioFilmStop Inhibition Technology, highly resistant to biofilm and bacteria, ISO 22196:2011 (Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus subtillis, Pseudonomas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enteritidis, Legionella pneumophila...) also notably improving HACCP, food safety and asepsis in the user company.,

RECOMMENDED USE: FK-100 FoodGrade epoxy paint is specifically formulated for the protection and finishing of surfaces that come into direct, ocasional or indirect contact with nearly all manner of foods and drinks, in line with current European and American regulations, and is for application to the insides of food tanks and silos, food transport elements, skirting boards, floors, walls, ceilings, objects, machinery, installations, structures, etc. located at indoors. Generally, for use in the food industry, the health sector, the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry, construction and civil engineering. Read limitations at TDS.

HOW TO APPLY: Following adequate preparation of the surface and having confirmed the suitability of the environment, FK-100 FoodGrade paint can be applied by brush or roller, or for finishes and optimum applications using AirMix or Airless type spraying equipment with heated hose (or automatic heated spraying equipment where mixture A+B is done at gun). Slowly pour component B into component A, mix together gently using an electric mixer avoiding air occlusion, for at least 2 minutes or until the components have blended completely together. When mixing always use complete batches of component A and component B, to avoid errors in the mixing ratio. Plan carefully its application, bearing in mind its short pot-life of the mix. Should it be necessary adjust the viscosity of the paint by thinning with minimum required quantity of the special FoodGrade solvent, FK-45 Solvent OEM FG.

ATTENTION TO THE CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION AND CURING: Drying time and the waiting time for the second coat depend on layer thickness, temperature, relative humidity and ventilation. The environment and base temperature should better be higher+ 10ºC and the relative humidity should not be higher than 80%. The surface temperature of the base to be painted should always be at least 3 °C above the dew point to avoid condensation. It is estimated that the ideal application temperature is around 23ºC and 50% relative humidity. If environmental conditions are not appropriate for its application and curing, these should be artificially adapted. Epoxy paint should not be in contact with water or surface condensation during the first 72 hours of curing, or the paint may not cure properly, appearing "Amine Blush" wash spots.

DEPOSITS OF FOOD LIQUIDS: In general, the film will present its complete curing, from 7 days from last coat for contact with food and drinks (cured at 23ºC, 50% relative humidity, layer> 300 microns dry). At a lower temperature and / or higher humidity and layer, the curing time can be significantly increased. On the other hand, if the temperature conditions are higher, the humidity is lower and / or there is less thickness, the curing time can be significantly reduced. Before filling a tank that has been coated with FK-100 FoodGrade, the complete curing of the film should be properly checked, as well as at least an initial cleaning on the entire surface, with clear water, or preferably with neutral soap and later rinse.

FORCED DRYING: in general, applications with forced drying with hot air dehydrated can greatly reduce the drying, curing and commissioning time. An example of this can be the application in interior of pipes, where specialist companies after the application with own systems and special equipment, artificially circulate a current of hot dehydrated air through the pipe , and after checking the correct curing, shorten the usual commissioning time under their responsibility and know how.

OTHER GENERAL APPLICATIONS: this paint offers good general resistance, at least after 72 hours of curing, although we recommend not exposing the paint film to severe chemical-physical aggressions until it has been cured for at least 1 week (walls, floors, ceilings, food contact).

- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 200 µm - consumption is 260 gr/m² - a yield of 3,85 m²/kg.
- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 300 µm - consumption is 390 gr/m² - a yield of 2,56 m²/kg.
- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 350 µm - consumption is 455 gr/m² - a yield of 2,2 m²/kg.
- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 400 µm - consumption is 520 gr/m² - a yield of 1,92 m²/kg.
- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 500 µm - consumption is 650 gr/m² - a yield of 1,54 m²/kg.
- Dry thickness = Wet thickness: 795 µm - consumption is 910 gr/m² - a yield of 1,10 m²/kg.

2.- Option D - FAKOPUR FoodGrade

DESCRIPTION: FAKOPUR FOODGRADE is a 2-component polyurethane food contact safe paint, with aliphatic isocyanate and solvent base, for glossy low thickness finishes, free of Bisphenol A, APEO, ammonia, formaldehyde and heavy metals.
FAKOPUR FoodGrade provides a balanced topcoat film paint, easy to apply, quick drying, and excellent finish that according to DIN EN 13300 is resistant to wet scrubbing Class 1 (<5μm), covering Class 1 (6.9 m²/l - 100µm dry) and Class 2 (13,7 m²/l – 50µm dry). Excellent adhesion over a lot of properly treated surfaces. Resistant to natural factors and most of cleaners and desinfectants.

LIMITATIONS: Polyurethanes have greater resistance to acids but worse to alcohols in comparison with epoxy paints. In case of doubt, don't hesitate to consult our technical department, because there is no general rule.

CERTIFIED FOODGRADE PAINT SUITABLE FOR DIRECT CONTACT: The FoodGrade polyurethane paint FAKOPUR duly complies with all current European regulations for food contact materials, Regulation CE 852/2004, Regulation 1935/2004/CE, Regulation CE 1895/2005, production under HACCP and GMP Regulation CE 2023/2006, as well as RD 847/2011 and Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 of the Commission and its subsequent amendments on materials and plastic objects destined to come into contact with food. For this reason FAKOPUR FoodGrade has been tested with simulants A, B, C and D2 (OM2-40ºC), as it is showed in tests carried out by Fakolith in independent certified entities such as the National Centre for Technology and Food Safety (CNTA) among others, and in all of them complies with the limits of global and specific migration imposed by Regulations for the afore mentioned simulants that are equivalent to all food groups and therefore to the aptitude for direct contact with nearly all foods and beverages (exception: alcoholic beverages above 20º). FAKOPUR FoodGrade has a Food Grade Contact Declaration of Compliance – Sanitary Registration FAKOLITH RGSEAA ES-39.005259/T and ROESP E-0043-E.

BIOFILMSTOP SANITARY TECHNOLOGY (treated article BPR Art.3): FAKOPUR FoodGrade is a food contact paint that combines FoodGrade Technology with BioFilmStop Inhibition Technology, highly resistant to biofilm and bacteria, ISO 22196:2011 (Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus subtillis, Pseudonomas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enteritidis, Legionella pneumophila...) also notably improving HACCP, food safety and asepsis in current companies, while combining Fakolith’s innovative FOODTECH film protection technology, based on food preservatives.

RECOMMENDED USE: Mainly recommended as a polyurethane food paint, with low thickness finish, for OEM applications located mainly outdoors, or indoors where it is required an improvement or a complement to other less resistant systems; inside and outside of storage tanks placed in outdoors, machinery and equipment, structures and open surfaces of floors and baseboards, mainly outdoors. As topcoat on properly primed metals with suitable anticorrosive primers, such as FK-44 POX, applied on mineral surfaces or other compatible and properly sanded paints and coatings. Before applying on other compatible previous paints or as a complement to its finish, surfaces must be sanded until obtaining a roughness that allows the good adhesion of FAKOPUR (optimal roughness RZ 50). LIMITATIONS: This paint contains fast evaporating and drying solvents with strong odor, it is not recommended to paint interior spaces while food is produced or stored.

HOW TO APPLY: After the proper preparation of the base and checked the environment conditions, apply FAKOPUR FoodGrade by brush, roller or Airless. Slowly pour component B over component A, and stir at low revolutions for at least 2 minutes until proper homogenization. Let stand at least 1 minute before applying. Always mix complete sets A+B in order to avoid mistakes in the mixing ratio. Commissioning for direct food contact, ranges from 3 to 7 days. - For a dry thickness of 50µm – consumption is 73ml/m² - a yield of 13,7 m²/l.
- For a dry thickness of 75µm - consumption is 109 ml/m² - a yield of 9,2 m²/l.
- For a dry thickness of 100µm - consumption is 145ml/m² - a yield of 6,9 m²/l.
